I'd like us to post our strategies that we've found to work. These can range from individual strategies to group strategies as we play the game. For now it can be a discussion on what we're thinking of doing when we first start.
Personally I think I'm going to have to characters straight away. As soon as possible, one will be a Heavy Medic focusing on health boosts so he can act as a defense/tank, think a mobile reviving/healing turret.
The other will be a Light Operative/Soldier mix that works on flanking manuevers/captuing command posts (to help allies flank... if allies can spawn at CPs, does anyone know?). I think a disguised op in a CP could confuse enemies enough to get the jump on them. Might up this to medium depending on how much a difference it makes with speed.
For group strategy, I'd love to make a group of Heavy Medics that cover one or two characters classed for the specific objectives -- it'd be humorous to see a never ending wall that takes a lot to knock over, just to get back up again. They'd work as a distraction for the other character(s).

Damn, a heavy medic was what I was planning on rolling with anyway. Usually in team-oriented games, nobody likes playing support but I like rolling as a tank/healer.

I think, in this game, I'll probably enjoy support. I imagine my most played classes will be medic and operative. I like the thought of a super buff medic being able to take punishment while wading through a battle to revive/heal allies, then jumping in the fight themselves with a minigun or something.
A light operative would be my ideal class to learn to use well -- I imagine the flanking manuevers could be really helpful, or running for an objective while enemies are tied up in a large fight would be useful. My concern here is I saw a video where a light character got owned by only a few bullets.

I plan to go light op as well mostly, but will switch up to what's needed when it's needed.

Lol, I was also planning on rocking a heavy medic. Those guys must be popular. My main reason was because in team-based RPGs and such I've always played a healing tank.
But I'll probably run an either medium or heavy soldier as well. Even though the game is heavily focused on objectives, killing enemies is still an important aspect, and I think a heavy soldier would do well at this.

Soldiers will be the class least played at the beginning, but once things start moving people will catch on how usefull they are -- completing objectives is awesome, getting killed before you can do so is unfortunate.
I don't remember if Soldiers had a lot of power boosts though, that's a concern for me. Without them, the class probably should have been called "Demolistionist" or something silly like that.

I agree, especially since any class can use any weapons in the game. Usually soldiers are given the ability to use more guns, have different ammo types, special grenades, etc. Without any of that stuff they don't really seem too defined as a "soldier." But I will still play them nonetheless.

Basically light Op.. Gonna try to shoot as little as possible and sneak around doing objectives. I'll switch it up to a Med/Heavy Soldier after a while though..

I get the feeling that a heavy medic might be extremely frustrating to take down. Atleast I can see there might be quite a few on our side. You big meat shields better keep my light operative safe! You might catch me using you as cover!

Seems a lot of people have taken a liking to the medic class, which is epic. I'll probably run light engineer/Soldier(Rushing habit from COD). That buff ability the engineer has is to my liking. I'll be relying on you guys to keep me on my feet the rest of the way lol. I'm also seeing the engineer as a person who could set up temporary defensive perimeter around objectives with his machinegun nests and turrets as we push further in or bunker down. Add a couple of medics and soldiers supplying ammo and we got a portable fort we could fall back to.

I have to admit, I'll have the rushing habit from CoD as well. A light engineer is very likely in my future, and I think a layer of defensive turrets would be an interesting sight to see -- kind of like making our own tower defense game.

No worries, I'll be plodding along behind you guys with my minigun and keeping you boys (or girls) on your feet for the long haul lol.

In-game every character is a guy so the male pronouns work (aka political correctness out the window).
... And a heavy wielding a mini gun = a moving turret in my eyes.
