So awesome. I'm definitely playing a heavy body type, most likely a med/tank

That will be my first character, but I'm more looking forward to light body types, I always focus on speed when I can.

Speed is essential....... but I like being a bullet-sponge. Maybe I'm just a sadist lol.

After playing some Shadowrun, I'm a bit concerned. I'm hoping it is just the style of the game that is causing me to play so poorly, but as an Elf (the fastest race), I get obliterated. As a Troll (the "Heavy" race), I can actually win some matches (and this is just against Bots, mind you).
I've never been as bad at a game as I have been with Shadowrun. And I hate having to buy my loadout every time.

I have a tendency to shoot it out with opposing forces (I can be pretty competitive sometimes, especially if I lose my temper) so heavy type might suit me better. I may not move fast but if I corner you, you're going down. And I can see operatives being the proverbial "glass cannon" in Brink. Maybe elf/light doesn't suit your playstylle?

I can see flanking manuevers working with our heavys baiting enemies to walk past a doorway/corner where a light or two is waiting to get the drop. I'm hoping the maps are as interesting as they look!
